After a painstaking 3 years of anticipation and yearning since the debut season, Sweet Home has finally announced the arrival of Season 2 in December 2023 – mark your calendars!
In case you need a little memory refresher – Sweet Home is a Netflix Original K-Drama based on the webtoon of the same name.
What Can We Expect from Sweet Home Season 2?
Firstly, let’s get this straight. Sweet Home is a horror series – and the official synopsis reads ‘
‘Song Kang, Lee Jin-uk, Lee Si-young, Ko Min-si, and Park Gyu-young — the residents of Green Home had managed to deliver some intense tension as they risked their safety and lives by facing bloody battles against neighbors – who in a twist of fate, had turned into monsters. The group returns in the second season to offer more tension of a whole different type. ‘

What Happens to the Remaining Survivors In Sweet Home Season 2?
Towards the end of the final episode of the debut season, we saw Sang-Wook dying in a pool of his blood (yuck!) in a hopeless attempt to save Yu Ri. However, we can’t speculate that he hasn’t turned into a monster after metamorphosis!
With a similar fate happening to several of S1’s characters – what can we expect from the remaining survivors?
Only a handful of survivors made it out of Green Homes alive – with hopes of finding shelter and a haven to hide and survive temporarily. Eun Hyuk made it clear that the military cannot guarantee any help since they can’t control survivors morphing into monsters.
Eun Soo has feelings for Cha Hyun Soo – so there might be a probability of either a tragic end or a happy reunion on the cards.

Several cast members from the debut season will be returning; Lee Si-young, Park Gyu-young, and Go Min-Si are all expected and confirmed to return but there will be a group of new members welcoming the second season and possibly the third as well:
