BTS’ DNA Surpassed 1.5 Billion Views.

BTS is one of the most famous boy bands in South Korea. From the day of their debut till now, they have kept on achieving success. The group consists of seven members RM, V, Jungkook, Suga, J-Hope, Jin, and Jimin.

Their lyricism has primarily addressed issues related to mental health, difficulties associated with adolescence and growing up, loss, the path to self-love, individualism, and the effects of fame and notoriety.

Most of the music videos BTS have become big hits and have received millions of views. On December 15, the music video of BTS’s ‘DNA’ crossed 1.5 billion views. The song was released on September 18, 2017.

This is BTS’s third music video to reach 1.5 billion views. Before this “Boy With Luv” and “Dynamite” had crossed 1.5 billion views.

“DNA” was the group’s lead single from the band’s fifth extended play ‘Love Yourself: Her.’ On December 6, 2017, Universal Music Japan released the Japanese version of the song.

The Korean version of “DNA” debuted at number one on the Billboard K-pop Hot 100 and number two on the Gaon Digital Chart. In South Korea, it has now sold more than 2.5 million digital copies as of February 2019.

The song became the band’s debut entry on both charts when it peaked at number 67 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and 90 on the UK Singles Chart.

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) awarded the song a gold certification, and the Recording Industry Association of Japan awarded it a double platinum certification (RIAJ). YongSeok Choi directed the music video for the song.

The group started its journey in 2013 and since then they have been ruling thousands of hearts. Wings (2016), the group’s second Korean studio album, became their first to sell one million copies in South Korea.

With their Grammy-nominated track “Dynamite,” BTS also became the first all-South Korean act to top the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard Global 200. According to the Circle Chart, BTS has sold more than 30 million records as of 2022, making them the best-selling artist in South Korean history.

For now, the group has announced a temporary pause from their career in order to complete their mandatory military service. The group may make a comeback in 2025, but then ARMY has to keep patience and wait for their idol to return.
