Charles Shyer has directed the romantic comedy movie ‘The Noel Diary’ starring ‘The Young and the Restless star Justin Hartley. The plot is adapted from the American author’s ‘The Noel Diary.
Shyer has previously directed Academy Award-nominated movies like ‘Smokey and the Bandit’, ‘Private Benjamin’, and ‘The Affair of the Necklace’.
The Plot of The Noel Diary
Any precise premise of the upcoming film has not yet been known, but what little has been deciphered is that the film revolves around a man named Jake Turner and a woman named Rachel.
Jake Turner is a renowned author who returns to the estate of his mother at Christmas. There he finds a diary that holds unknown facts about his past and also of a young woman named Rachel who is on a journey of her own. But as their fate coincides, they embark upon the journey together to discover an unforeseen future.

Justin Hartley-
American actor Justin Hartley will be seen portraying Jake Turner in the upcoming movie. Hartley played Blaine Balbo in the comedy movie ‘Senior Year’ which was released in mid-2022. His other film credits include ‘Red Canyon’, ‘Spring Breakdown’, ‘The Challenger’, ‘A Bad Moms Christmas’, ‘Little’, ‘Jexi’, ‘And the Exchange’.
Hartley portrayed Nicholas Foxworth Crane aka Fox in NBC’s soap opera ‘Passions’ from 2002 to 2006. As DC superhero Oliver Queen aka Green Arrow was cast in the superhero tv series ‘Smallville’ from 2006 to 2011.
Then from 2012 to 2013, Hartley played the main role of Will Collins in the medical drama series of The CW Emily Owens, M.D.’ and from 2013 to 2014 the recurring role of Patrick Osbourne in ‘Revenge’ whose plot was inspired by ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’ by Alexandre Dumas.
As Scott Trosman was cast in the mystery drama soap opera ‘Mistresses’ from 2014 to 2016. During the same time, Hartley also played the role in Adam Newman’s CBS soap opera ‘The Young and the Restless. From 2016 to 2022 Hartley played Kevin Pearson in NBC’s family drama ‘This Is Us.
Barrett Doss-
The character of Rachel will be seen being played by American actress and singer Barrett Doss in the upcoming film. Doss played Megan in the 2017 MCU tv series ‘Iron Fist‘.
Then in 2018, she was cast as Victoria Hughes in ABC’s action drama ‘Station 19‘ which is a spin-off of ABC’s popular medical drama ‘Grey’s Anatomy. Doss began starring as Hughes in the original series in 2019.
Bonnie Bedelia-
Bedelia is an American actress who has been active in her acting career since around the 1960s. She made her film debut in the 1969 movie ‘The Gypsy Moths’ in the role of Annie Burke.
Since then she had been starring in a number of films which include ‘They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?’, ‘Lovers and Other Strangers, ‘The Strange Vengeance of Rosalie’, ‘Between Friends’, ‘The Big Fix’, ‘Heart Like a Wheel’, ‘Death of an Angel, ‘The Boy Who Could Fly, ‘The Prince of Pennsylvania’, ‘Fat Man and Little Boy, ‘Die Hard 2’, ‘Presumed Innocent’, ‘Needful Things’, ‘Sordid Lives, ‘A Very Sordid Wedding’, ‘The Scent of Rain and Lightning’ etc.
Richard Treat Williams-
American actor Treat Williams is another cast member of the film. He first gained recognition by starring in the musical anti-war comedy movie of 1979 ‘Hair’ in the main role of George Berger for which he received a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year in a Motion Picture.
His other film credits include ‘Prince of the City (as Daniel Ciello), ‘The Pursuit of D. B. Cooper’ (as D. B. James Remar-
Another cast member of the upcoming movie is American actor William James Remar.
