Beyoncé Slams Right Said Fred’s copyright claim as wrong and erroneous.

Beyoncé has given her response to the allegations made by Right Said Fred over the use of copyright on the song “Renaissance,” labeling the allegations as “incorrect” and “false.” This week, the pair criticized Beyoncé for utilizing a snippet of their song “I’m Too Sexy” in the song “Alien Superstar” from her album “Renaissance.” They referred to her as “arrogant.”

Beyoncé is accused of stealing parts of Fred and Richard Fairbrass’ song without obtaining permission, according to statements made by the Fairbrass brothers to The Sun at the 2022 Broadcast Music Inc. Awards in London.

“Normally the artist approaches us,” they said, “but Beyoncé didn’t because she is such an arrogant person she just had probably thought, ‘come and get me.’ so we heard about it after the fact when you did.” Beyoncé is a person who is so arrogant that she doesn’t approach us because she is such an arrogant person.

However, the rest of the people, including Drake and Taylor Swift, came to us. Beyoncé responded to these allegations in a statement that was released with Pitchfork. In it, she said, “The remarks by Right Said Fred suggesting that Beyonce utilized ‘I’m Too Sexy’ in ‘Alien Superstar’ without permission are incorrect and highly derogatory.

“Not only was permission obtained for its usage, but they also expressed their thanks in a public forum for being included on the album. Only the composition of their song was used, and no sound recording was used at any point in the process.

The following was added to the statement: “On May 11, 2022, permission to utilize their work was requested from their publisher, and on June 15, 2022, the publisher granted permission for the usage.” In August 2022, they were compensated for the use of the facility.

“Furthermore, the copyright percentage of the Right Said Fred authors about the use of ‘I’m Too Sexy’ is a significant component of the composition, and this use constitutes a substantial piece of the composition.

“Collectively, the authors of Right Said Fred own more than any other solitary writer and have been credited as co-writers.”

It is not the first time that one artist has criticized Beyoncé for using samples and interpolations on her new album; the recent issue involving Right Said Fred is only the most recent example.

After the debut of ‘Renaissance,’ Kelis resorted to social media to assert that Beyoncé had stolen portions from her song ‘Milkshake’ without obtaining her permission. Kelis’s allegations were made without her knowledge.

After some time, the interpolation was edited out of the song and updated across streaming services. This was the second significant adjustment to the album ‘Renaissance.’ On August 1, it was announced that an ableist slur would be deleted from the song ‘Heated.’ This was the second significant adjustment that was made.

Since her album ‘Renaissance,’ Beyoncé has made available a four-track remix EP of her song ‘Break My Soul,’ in addition to a single remix that she and Madonna co-produced.
