Don’t expect the same cast as ‘Game of Thrones in this series as well. It will have the following characters:

• Emma D’Arcy in the role of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen(The king’s first-born child)

• Matt Smith in the role of Prince Daemon Targaryen( the younger brother of King Viserys and most probably the heir to the throne)

• Steve Toussaint in the role of Lord Corlys Velaryon ( The Sea Snake the most famed nautical adventurer in the history of Westeros)

• Olivia Cooke in the role of Alicent Hightower( she is the daughter of Otto Hightower)

• Rhys Ifans in the role of Otto Hightower

The storyline is adapted from Martin’s Targaryen history book “Fire and Blood”. The story is around 200 years before the storyline of ‘Game of Thrones. The show is focused on an unpopular event called Dance of the Dragons mentioned in Westeros history.

A war between siblings  Aegon II and Rhaenyra over the throne after the death of their father Viserys I will be highlighted in the series. The whole story will revolve around the conflict of powers. We will witness that every child since childhood has been trained for battle since birth, but in real battle doesn’t happen.

Analyzing the official statements we can say that it won’t be a Carbon Copy of “Game of Thrones“. The series has reinvented the powerful Velaryon family as wealthy Black rulers marked by flowing silver dreadlocks.

Female characters will be given more importance and role to play than ever before in this series. The series however is successful to take its production to the next level with new technology.

There are high points like sword-fighting, jousting, and dramatically running down long hallways which the audience will definitely enjoy watching on their screens.

The story is a very complex piece of art, and it’s not black and white at all.

The world of dragons is ready to entertain you all, acting as a treat to the fans of “Game of Thrones”, yes we can expect more prequels like this in the coming future. It will show landscapes we never visited during the original television series.

This time, it’s a big bluish sky, which would look mighty fine than ever with some dragons soaring through it.

Thanks for reading:)
