Will we See Tom Ellis & Sam Heughan Work Together?

Tom Ellis Updates: Is it possible that Tom Ellis’ next job will be on Outlander? Now that season six of Lucifer has ended, the actor has hinted that he could be joining his old pal Sam Heughan on the Starz show.

The two streaming TV stars, who studied theatre at the Royal Scottish Academy together, recently sat down for an interview with Square Mile magazine, in which they revealed details about their decades-long relationship.

While Tom Ellis, 42, and Sam, 40, confessed it had been “at least ten years” since they’d been in the same room, they disclosed that they almost worked together on Outlander and that they wouldn’t rule it out in the future.

“I auditioned for Outlander, not for Jamie Fraser, but for Tobias Menzies’ character, ‘Black Jack’ Randall,’ and I remember thinking to myself, ‘This is very fantastic,’ when I read the screenplay.”First and foremost, man, I’m not sure how I’d have felt having you, shall we say, assault me,” Sam said, before adding that the two would have had a fantastic time on set together.

“Actually, you’d have been fantastic at it because Frank Randall is such a sweet, endearing character, and Black Jack, the other part you’d have had to play, is so brutal.” “It’s a fantastic part,” he continued. Tobias, of course, does a wonderful job, but it would have been so different if it hadn’t been for that.

Later in the chat, Sam mentioned some of his favorite show co-stars and hinted that he would want to see the Netflix star join the group. He stated, ” “Each performer enters the stage with their own unique enthusiasm and vigor. It’s crucial to be surrounded by talented performers.

We’re really fortunate. Suzanne Smith does an excellent job casting,” she continues, “but we’re still waiting for you.”Tom Ellis smirked and said, ” “So, I’m almost done [filming Lucifer]. Yes, if Covid ever lets us finish this task.”
