Outlander Season 6 is based on a best-selling novel written by Diana Gabaldon, released on Starz. The series spins around the World War II nurse named Claire Beauchamp as she goes back in time to search for love, history, and loss.
Outlander Season 1 was released on August 9th, 2014, and since the series was able to get a huge fanbase all around the world. Since then it has been 5 seasons, emotional traumas, ups and downs, and much more. After the ending of season 5, fans were eagerly waiting for season 6 of the series.
Outlander Season 5 was released on Starz on 16th February 2020, with 12 episodes each 1 hour long, and each episode was released on weekly basis.
As far as the Outlander Season 6 we have good news for the fans, Starz had already renewed the series for Season 6 on May 9th, 2018, however, Season 6 will only have 8 episodes each at 1: 30. hour longs. Filming of season 6 was started in the month of February 2021 and the filming wrapped up in the month of June 2021.

There have been rumors that new cast members of the series will be joining the cast as Mark Lewis-Jones will join as Tom Christie, Alexander Vlahos will join as the son, Allan Christie, and the rest of the cast members.
Plot
At the end of the Fifth Season, all we witness was the ups and downs of the Frasers at their house base. We saw the Battle of Alamance Leaving Roger And Jamie shocked and Murtagh dead. On the other hand, we saw Claire helping a commoner, after helping he was punished by Lionel Brown and his so-called men. It was a happy ending for all the cast members of the series Roger and Brianna marry, and Claire and Jamie get together.
As far as we think the Outlander Season 6 will be based on the sixth book of the Diana as the last 5 seasons.
