Dead To Me Season 3 Returning for its Final Season.

Dead to Me, a Netflix fan favorite, is returning for a season 3 with its dark comic flare. Fans of the series have been anticipating new episodes since March 2020, when season 2 was released on the streaming site.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, over 30 million fans binge-watched the show in its first month of distribution on Netflix. Dead to Me has since received nominations from both the awards circuit and reviewers.

Judy (Linda Cardellini) and Jen (Christina Applegate) are two ladies who meet throughout a grieving self-help group following each having suffered catastrophic losses.

Jen has come to grieve the death of her husband, Ted, in a hit-and-run, and Judy seems to be there as she was the driver in the accident, but she claims her (ex-)fiancé died from a heart attack. The two become excellent friends, but everything falls apart when Jen discovers what happened to her husband.

Before you go back and watch prior episodes in anticipation, here’s a rundown of what to anticipate in season 3.

What is The Plot of Dead to Me Season 3?

Season 2 ended on a cliffhanger, following in the footsteps of the previous season. Jen and Judy are in a vehicle accident just before the screen goes dark, but this isn’t a coincidence. It’s similar to the occurrence that Jen and Judy meet due to Jen’s husband’s death in a hit-and-run accident, the facts of which Jen is unaware.

However, in the season 2 conclusion, fans are left wondering if Jen is truly alive after this disaster.

And if that isn’t enough, the danger is developing for these female stars elsewhere. A dog and its owner have sniffed out Steve’s hidden body in the forest, signaling that the remains will be recognized and an inquiry will begin.

But what is Ben going to do next? Would he continue in Judy’s footsteps, or will he strive to re-enter our protagonists’ good graces out of guilt?

Another question that viewers have is concerning the letter discovered by Charlie, Jen’s son. Jen had sent three letters: one to Judy, one to Charlie, and one to Henry. She intended to give herself to the police for what she’d done, which is why she composed these letters.

The letter’s content isn’t read aloud or exhibited physically, but it’s reasonable to presume it was a confessional. Charlie, did you read the letter? And how did he respond if he did?

According to the teaser, Judy discovers her letter and responds accordingly. It also depicts Judy and Jen after the accident, with Jen in a neck brace and Judy strolling about, pressing a call button repeatedly to demand a doctor’s attention for what reason is unclear. The teaser also does not reveal if Charlie read his letter.
