Ryan Reynolds has evolved from a spiky-haired cutie to a gorgeous superhero father over the years.
The Canadian native got his big break on NBC’s Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place, which was canceled in 2001. Following that, he appeared in a succession of successful romantic comedies, including Just Friends, Definitely, Maybe, and The Proposal.
Of 2016, the Adam Project actor made his superhero debut as the titular character in Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds had to get into Marvel-caliber form before he could suit up as the R-rated hero.
“I put my back out on the first day,” the actor joked to The Guardian in January 2016. “Then the next thing you know, I’m on the floor.” It’s 6 a.m., the gym is vacant, and I don’t even have my phone. I scurried. I couldn’t move, so I crawled two blocks home on all fours.”
“The last time I trained for a picture like this was five years ago,” he said at the time. There is a significant difference. Now, I mean, you start to question whether you really have abs down there anymore. “I can’t believe I’m bragging about my abs: 95% of your readers will have dozed off by now.”

“I believe nutrition becomes more tuned in as time goes closer to film,” Ryan Reynolds’ personal trainer, Don Saladino, told Us Weekly exclusively in October 2022, stressing that his client understands what to do to remain in shape.
“We tighten up on him when he deviates from his nutrition plan.” We pay special attention to carbs that burn slowly. We pay special care to get excellent fats into him and, of course, maintaining his protein at the amount we believe he requires, which is roughly a gram per pound of body weight.”
Ryan Reynolds is a loving husband to his wife Blake Lively, with whom he has three daughters: Betty, James, and Inez, who were born in 2014, 2016, and 2019, respectively. The couple announced their fourth child’s birth in September 2022.
“Blake rules the show,” the actor remarked on My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman in May 2022. “If it weren’t for her, I’d probably just phone it in.” She has greater expectations.”
