Shawn Mendes spotted with The Weeknd in Miami Celebrating Birthday Weekend

The Weeknd performed a surprise performance for Shawn Mendes on Saturday, August 6, in Miami, starting the celebration of his 24th birthday at LIV nightclub. Mendes, who turns 20 on Monday, August 8, was seen hanging out on stage and dancing in the DJ booth as DJ Kaytranada and the singer, born Abel Tesfaye, performed.

Mendes went to the beach with pals as well. He shared photos of himself lounging shirtless on a boat at dusk on his Instagram. Mendes’ R&R comes after he recently disclosed that he was postponing every Wonder tour date in North America and Europe to concentrate on his mental health.

The “When You’re Gone” singer initially postponed three weeks of gigs, but on July 27, she posted on Instagram, “As you guys know, I had to postpone the previous few weeks of shows as I wasn’t entirely prepared for the toll that being back on the road would have on me.”

“I began this tour eager to resume live performance after a long hiatus caused by the epidemic, but the truth is I was not at all prepared for how challenging performing would be after this time away,” the performer said.

“I need to take the time I’ve never taken personally, to ground myself and come back stronger,” he stated. “After speaking more with my team and working with an outstanding set of health experts, it has become increasingly evident that I need to do that.”

“We were hoping that with some much-needed time off, I would be able to take up the remainder of the dates, but at this point, I have to put my health as my first priority.”

Shawn Mendes Turned 24

It has always been difficult for the singer to spend so much time away from friends and family, who remarked that he has been traveling since he was 15 years old. Even after taking a few years off the road, he believed he was ready to “dig back in,” but that judgment was made too soon, and regrettably, the strain and the cost of the road have caught up with me, and I’ve reached my breaking point.

Through the end of October, the 24-year-old artist was scheduled to play on tour in locations all over the globe.

Mendes assures fans that he won’t stop creating new songs and that he looks forward to performing once again in the future despite the cancellation of the current tour.

He closed his message by saying, “This doesn’t mean I won’t be producing new music, and I can’t wait to see you on tour in the future.” It pains me to say this, but I promise I will return as soon as I have had the appropriate amount of time to recuperate.

I know you all have been waiting so long to watch these concerts. I adore you all and appreciate you all so much for staying with me during this trip.
