Firefly Lane Season 2 Updates: Maggie Friedman has created the American drama series Firefly Lane’ which is adapted from the same-named novel by Kristin Hannah. The plot of the series revolves around two women Tully and Kate.

The two first met when they were young girls. Thirty years before they met in a place called Firefly Lane. Now thirty years have passed and they are still inseparable friends despite lots of ups and downs which they had faced since then.

Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke play the roles of Tully Hart and Kate Mularkey respectively in the series. Other cast members include Ben Lawson, Beau Garrett, Ignacio Serricchio, Brandon Jay McLaren, Jon Ecker, Chelah Horsdal, Paul McGillion, Jenna Rosenow, etc.

The first season of the series was released on February 3, 2021, on Netflix. In May of 2021, a second season was renewed. In April of 2022, the filming of the second season was set to complete which makes the release date of the new season sometimes in 2022.

Tully is one of the two protagonists of the series and their best friend of Kate. She is presented as the host of The Girlfriend Hoye which is a daytime talk show. American actress Katherine Heigl plays the role of Tully Hart in the series.

Her husband Josh Kelley is an American songwriter and singer. From 1999 to 2002 she portrayed the main character of Isabel Evans in the American sci-fi series ‘Roswell’. But she is mostly known for her role as Dr. Izzie Stevens for which she was cast from season one to season six of the American medical series ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ from 2005 to 2010.

She executive produced and also starred as Officer Charleston Whitney Tucker in NBC’s espionage thriller series ‘State of Affairs. Then in 2017, she was cast as Sadie Ellis in CBS’ American drama ‘Doubt’ and from 2018 to 2019 as Samantha Wheeler in the American legal series ‘Suits’.

Heigl also starred in several television films such as ‘Wish Upon a Star’, ‘The Tempest’, ‘Critical Assembly’, ‘Love Comes Softly’, ‘Wuthering Heights, ‘Love’s Enduring Promise’, ‘Romy and Michele: In the Beginning’ etc.

Kate and Tully were best friends since they were only fourteen years old. Kate has been a housewife for a long time and now is going through her divorce. Canadian actress cum model Sarah Chalke plays the role of Kate in the series.

From 1993 to 1997 and then in 2018 Chalke was cast as Becky Conner-Healy or Andrea in the American sitcom ‘Roseanne’. Then from 1999 to 2000, she portrayed Gloria Hobson in CBC’ ‘Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy’. As Elliot Reid, she starred in the American medical drama ‘Scrubs’ from 2001 to 2010.

She also played the role of Melissa in the series ‘The ‘Bu’ from 2003 to 2004. From 2008 to 2009 in Season 3 and 4 and in 2014 in Season 9 Chalke starred as Stella Zinman in the American sitcom ‘How I Met Your Mother.
