Heartstopper Seasons 2 Update: Euros Lyn directed the British coming-of-age rom-com series ‘Heartstopper’ which is based on the same-named graphic and webcomic novel by Alice Oseman. The plot of the series revolves around two boys named Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring.

Charlie, who has been outed recently, is a gay schoolboy who falls for the classmate sitting next to him. Nick is a popular schoolboy and a rugby player. The plot also involves Tao, Tara, Elle, and Darcy who are other friends of Charlie and Nick.

Kit Connor and Joe Locke respectively play the roles of Nick and Charlie in the series. Other cast members of the series include Yasmin Finney, Sebastian Croft, Fisayo Akinade, Chetna Pandya, Stephen Fry, Olivia Colman, etc. The series premiered on April 22, 2022, and the second and third seasons were renewed on May 20.

English actor Kit Sebastian Connor portrays the role of Nick Nelson in the series. From 2014 to 2015 he was cast as Archie Beckles in the British tv series ‘Rocket’s Island’. In 2017 he starred as Bob Sheenan in BBC’s miniseries ‘SS-GB’.

Elle Argent played by Yasmin Finney:
Elle is a friend of Charlie, Isaac, and Tao who comes out as transgender and gets transferred to Higgs Girls School. English actress Yasmin Finney plays the role of Elle in the series. Apart from starring in ‘Heartstopper’, she will be seen playing the role of Rose in the upcoming British sci-fi tv program ‘Doctor Who’ that is set to release in 2023.

Benjamin Hope played by Sebastian Croft:
With Benjamin Hope, Charlie got into his first relationship which was kept clandestine. English actor Sebastian Croft plays the role of Benjamin in the series. Croft appeared in one episode of the tv series ‘Houdini & Doyle’ as Newsie in 2016.

He also portrayed the Young Eddard Stark in HBO’s popular fantasy series ‘Game of Thrones’ the same year and also starred as Boy Familiar in ‘Penny Dreadful’.

Mr Ajayi played by Fisayo Akinade:
Art teacher Mr. Ajayi is presented as looking out for Charlie in the series. British actor Fisayo Akinade plays the role of Mr. Ajayi in ‘Heartstopper’. He appeared in one episode of season 3 of the British comedy series ‘Fresh Meat’ in 2013.

In 2015 he starred in Channel 4’s tv series ‘Cucumber’ and E4’s ‘Banana’ in both of which he starred as Dean Monroe. The same year he also starred as Ziggy in BBC One’s ‘Ordinary Lies’.

In 2018 Akinade starred as Clive Otunde in a single episode of season one of the British comedy series ‘A Very English Scandal’. He also appeared as the minor character of Andrew Dewey in BBC’s crime drama ‘Silent Witness’ the next year. In 2022 Akinade played Khalil in one episode of the American comedy series ‘Atlanta’.

He will be seen starring as Chevalier de Saint-Jacques in the upcoming period drama series of America ‘Dangerous Liaisons’ that is adapted from the same-named novel by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos. In 2016 and 2020 respectively he portrayed Flute and Mercutio in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and ‘Romeo & Juliet’.

Coach Singh played by Chetna Pandya:
Coach Singh is another person looking out for Charlie. A rugby coach, Singh is portrayed by English actress Chetna Pandya. She began her acting career with the role of Nita Parish in a single episode of BBC One’s medical soap opera ‘Doctors’ in 2004.

The next year she played Dipti Mayo and Nurse Dar in a single episode of ‘New Tricks’ and ‘The Worst Week of My Life. Other series in which she appeared include ‘Cuckoo’, ‘The A List’, ‘Feel Good’, ‘Line of Duty’ etc.
