A romantic drama film, “Persuasion” is based on the last novel by Jane Austen. The name of the book was the same as the movie and is said to have been published in 1818.
The main character of our film is Anne Eliot. As a bright and young woman, at the age of 19, she falls in love and accepts a marriage proposal from Mr. Wentworth. Although a naval officer by profession due to his low social status he was often disregarded.
Anne’s relatives and friends persuade her to end this relationship due to this and the engagement was canceled. 7 years post this incident, Anne and Wentworth encounter one another and this leads to various sweet and sour incidents. Will love come back or will the influenced ideas of her peers prevail?
