Fantastic Beasts 3 Updates: Here is  Everything So Far About the  Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, Harry Potter’s 3rd prequel. There’s no turning back for Newt Scamander. The third film in the Fantastic Beasts franchise has endured delays for years, but it will finally be released in 2022, decades before Harry Potter was born.

Among the changes from the previous two chapters of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is the recasting of Gellert Grindelwald as a villain.

Despite denying the accusations, Johnny Depp was asked to bow out from the J.K. Rowling written franchise in November 2020 after failing a libel suit against Amber Heard. A judgment came ruling that he abused Heard during their two-year alliance period, which ended in 2017.

In a statement posted to his Instagram account, the actor Depp made it official of his exit following his request to resign from his role as Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts.  

Mads Mikkelsen was declared as Depp’s replacement for the movie back in November 2020. 

The Hannibal actor said he wasn’t going to copy Depp’s performance, but he wanted his portrayal to fill the same void.

Who all will be there, A sympathetic quad defending for good, Eddie Redmayne, Dan Fogler, Katherine Waterston, and Alison Sudol will return as they step up to fight for good against Grindelwald, who wants to end magical secrecy and let wizards dominate muggles.  

Despite the ambiguous title, Fantastic Beasts 3 was officially revealed in September 2021, which suggests Jude Law’s young Albus Dumbledore will play a major role.   That’s not surprising considering his long and complicated relationship with Grindelwald.

Shoot location. In contrast to Harry Potter, which is almost exclusively set in the U.K., Fantastic Beasts is set across the globe. The first film, titled Beasts of the Southern Wild, is set in New York City, the second in Paris and the third will take place in Rio de Janeiro.

Release details Due to the pandemic, the movie was originally planned to be released in 2020, but Warner Bros. announced in September 2021 that it would arrive in theaters on April 15, 2022.

Rowling teamed up with writer Steve Kloves, who wrote Harry Potter movies, for the third installment.

During the December 2021 teaser for Fantastic Beasts 3, fans got to see Mads Mikkelsen as the strongest and powering and threatening Dark Wizard. Although Mikkelsen’s appearance in the first trailer was brief, a longer preview showed him channeling the dark wizard as young Albus Dumbledore (Law) tells Newt (Redmayne) and his friends, “I can only rely on you to win this battle.

It is shown in the Fantastic Beasts 3 trailer that muggle Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler), who has always been a part of the Fantastic Beasts adventures, is handed a wand to fight against Dark Wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen).  Wizards who own wands have a powerful connection with them, yet they can also change owners as shown by the Elder Wands. 

Wand lore in Harry Potter has been explored extensively and displays that wands are the most popular form of casting magic. In the Harry Potter universe, we also see the strained power struggle between muggles and purebloods and the divide between wizards and muggles.

According to a long-standing theory, magical abilities sometimes awaken years later than commonly believed, if Jacob received a wand after the age of 11. As a muggle, Jacob has had a lot of connecting links to that of the Wizarding World, but from the trailer, it looks like Jacob will discover a magical tickle by the end of this epic movie.

Rowling has already explained in an interview that muggle Jacob Kowalski receiving a wand could lead to tragedy in the new trailer for Fantastic Beasts 3.  The Fantastic Beasts 3 trailer shows Newt giving Jacob a wand, of none other than Dumbledore wanted that to happen. Jacob then spends the remainder of the trailer casting spells with the wand, not to mention making jokes with the students at Hogwarts.J. K. Rowling explains that muggles may still use wands, but they tend to have highly unpredictable effects.

In light of this, Jacob may not be able to use a wand safely, raising the question of why Dumbledore would give him one.

The trailer for Fantastic Beasts 3 prompted a number of social media users to express their thoughts. It is safe to conclude that many people still prefer Jack Nicholson as the dark wizard, even though Mads Mikkelsen presents the role well.
