Star Trek Picard Season 2 Jeri Ryan Confirms Filming Starts Soon

Star Trek: Picard Season 2 Updates: Star Trek: Picard has gone through many production delays because of the pandemic, however, Jeri Ryan affirms that the production will resume.

This CBS series takes place 20 years after Star Trek: Nemesis, the last film to include the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Picard is the story of Captain Picard in a universe that has been overturned by tragedy.

Season 1 of Star Trek: Picard, first released in January 2020, planned the subsequent season to release in early 2021. Those plans were obviously rejected even with the pandemic disrupting the production.

Another problem that the show makes was facing was that Picard was shot in Los Angeles, while the other Star Trek shows were shot in Canada; Los Angeles has been hit hard by the pandemic lately, confounding the production further.

What Jeri Ryan has to say about Star Trek: Picard Season 2?

Be that as it may, as indicated by Jeri Ryan, the production for season 2 will begin very soon. 7/9 actors have affirmed that shooting hasn’t yet started, however, it’s possible to start again in February, as recently declared. Patrick Stewart as of late posted a video of himself getting vaccinated, driving numerous fans to presume that production would continue soon.

Reacting to a fan on Twitter who inquired as to whether production would begin on February 1, Ryan answered, “No. But soon.”

There are still not many details known about Star Trek: Picard season 2. Season 1 revolved around the tradition of Lieutenant Commander Data, who sacrifices himself to save Picard’s life toward the finish of Nemesis.

But he still lingered on in the minds of fans, with Picard telling a member of the Starfleet delegation to the U.S.S. Enterprise during the negotiations over peace between Starfleet and the Klingon Empire that he had “never believed in obsolescence.”

Despite his insistence on continuing, however, Picard had given up hope of ever returning to the Enterprise. When viewers caught a glimpse of his iconic uniform in the “Yesterday’s Enterprise” scene, they could not help but wonder if he would return.

The timeline seems to involve Picard, the Enterprise, and the entire Starfleet continuing the fight against the Borg. The production has posted some pictures on Instagram from the show, including a shot of the crewmembers on set.

Regardless of whether the production starts promptly, it appears to be impossible Star Trek: Picard season 2 would be ready to make a big appearance before 2022. Other than that, Star Wars: Strange New Worlds is yet another title that’s in production currently.
