Riverdale Season 5 Update: The CW has introduced a sequence of “Chapter Seventy-Eight: The Preppy Murders” from the 2nd episode of Riverdale Season 5.

The Network also published a collection of official stills from the second episode in Season 5, titled “Chapter Seventy-Eight: The Preppy Murders.” and is expected to go back in Season 5 on January 20 with Archie Comics-based drama Riverdale.

Released at The CW on Wednesday, 27 January, The Preppy Murders pledged a game shift when the writer’s investigation from Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones took a “twisted turn” after an abrupt phone call.

In the meantime, the main protagonist Archie Andrews has to make an “impossible decision” if his father wants his support. At the same time, Veronica Lodge and her half-sister Hermosa are attempting to force the retirement of their father, Hiram, while Cheryl Blossom is setting up a business plan of her own.

The CW photographs also reveal what appears to be a frank conversation between Jughead and his dad, F.P. Jones.

GAME CHANGER — the inquiry into the author by Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) takes a twisted turn after getting a call from Bret (guest star Sean Depner). With Season 4 ending back in May, Riverdale is scheduled to return next week on Wednesday, Jan. 20 for its fifth season with “Chapter Seventy-Seven: Climax” — which will feature an appearance by KO Kelly, who previously starred on the Katy Keene spinoff series of Riverdale. One week thereafter, “The Preppy Murders” will follow suit.
