Ashleigh Murray, Hayley Law, and Asha Bromfield featured Josie and Pussycats on the CW sitcom. The three-cat cat has not been seen in Riverdale since Season 2, and fans are considering their return.

Fans can expect Josie and Pussycats’ reunion when Riverdale season 5 begins releasing on television. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, a Riverdale show, shared the good news on Instagram on Thursday, posting a photo cover of the script. “It’s legal,” said the narrator. The show featured the headline, “#thePussycats are back in #Riverdale.”
Josie and the Pussycats will be back for Season 5, Episode 15, “Chapter Ninety-One” Law and Bromfield have already confirmed their return to Instagram. CW has yet to confirm whether the same actors will play the same characters. Law, who played Valerie Brown for the first two seasons, also sent script cover.
Josie and the Pussycats were last seen together in season 2 when the girl split up when Valerie and Melody challenged Josie’s desire to continue her career alone. Murray stayed as Josie for a few more episodes before leaving Riverdale High to tour the country with his father. Later Murray also played his role as Josie in Katy Keene, which is the Riverdale spinoff canceled after one season.
Josie and the Pussycats will return to Riverdale for season 5, but it is unclear whether it will be a comeback or a permanent return. If they do, it begs the question of why they chose to return to a dangerous and murderous city seven years later. When CW returns to CW in August, fans will have to wait for more plans.
