Carnival Row Season 2 wraps post-COVID shoot in Czech Republic

Carnival Row Season 2 Updates: Carnival Row is an American web television series. The series belongs to the genre of Urban fantasy, neo-noir drama with a dash of political flavor. The creators of the show are Rene Echevarria and Travis Beacham. Carnival Row premiered on its original streaming platform Amazon Prime . Even before the debut of the show, the makers renewed it for a second season. Hence, in July 2019, the show was renewed for a new season.

The initial running of the show was inspired by a feature film speculative screenplay titled A Killing on Carnival Row. It is written by Travis Beacham. It was released this year on its streaming platform on August 30.


Further, the second running of the neo-noir drama will be starring Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne. The shoot of the season is already completed. The final shoot was wrapped in post COVID times in the Czech Republic. The new season entered its stage of production in November 2019. Further, it was suspended as the country became a victim of the coronavirus pandemic. The pandemic kicked off on March 12 when only filming of two weeks was left.

According to certain resources, the Czech Republic allowed a few international shoots to resume their filming on May 7. However, the American shows held back and waited until the agreements were in place between Hollywood studios and its unions.  

Further, the producer of the show also mentioned how the show was one of the first global shows all over the world to get back on its feet and start filming. He also appreciated the Czech government. He said how the Czech industry was one of the worst affected industries in the global coronavirus pandemic. However, they acted fast and provided all forms of support to restart the production. Further, he also cited that the team is taking all the required measures to be safe.
