New Cat Person Trailer Emilia Jones’ Time With Nicholas Braun is a Nightmare! It’s nearly that time of year again when couples & singles alike start making mental lists of romantic films they’d like to see around Valentine’s Day.
Whether it’s, Dirty Dancing, or something different, you’ve most certainly got a film you watch every February. Of course, there’s an antidote to a month of mushy movies, and those are the ones that will make you swear off romance for the rest of your life. If that sounds more like your thing, Hulu has you covered with the disturbing Cat Person.
Based on Kristen Roupenian’s blockbuster 2017 short story of the same name, which served as a warning story about the risks and pitfalls of dating, the film version debuted in theaters in late 2023 and had many people anxious.
Cat Person | Official Trailer
Hulu will soon premiere “Cat Person” on its streaming service, making it likely that many of those reading this will view Susanna Fogel’s renowned film for the first time. This calls for a new trailer. And the new teaser allows us to discover what “Cat Person” is about.
Emilia Jones portrays Margot, a college student working part-time at a small theater. One day, she’s approached at the checkout counter by an awkward young guy named Robert (played by Nicholas Braun), who is purchasing popcorn and finally asks for her number.
The two start chatting, and the seeds of a romance grow. However, she can’t help but experience an increasing sense of nervousness, as if something vile lurks beneath the surface.
She doesn’t know anything about him other than that he appears friendly and loves his cats. But after a frustrating and deeply uncomfortable s*xual experience with him, she begins to question whether anything he ever told her was real. Does he keep cats, or is this a ruse to make himself appear less intimidating?
Tormented by the thought that Robert may be life-threatening if provoked, she compares the version of Robert he first presents to her with the one she discovers is the actual him. As the relationship worsens, both leads reach a dramatic finale that will make you postpone first-time dates this Valentine’s Day.
It’s a film that will make you realize how little you know about a person when you first start dating them, yet how quickly you may put so much of your faith in them. It’s a must-see for anybody worried about issues of safety and vulnerability.
The Cast and Crew of Cat Person.
The film features Emilia Jones as Margot, Nicholas Braun as Robert, Geraldine Viswanathan as Margot’s friend Taylor, Hope Davis, Fred Melamed, and Isabella Rossellini. As previously stated, “Cat Person” is directed by Fogel, best known for “The Spy Who Dumped Me.”
She also collaborated with Jones again on “Winner,” which premiered at Sundance this year. Hopefully, that movie will not have to go through the same hoops to have a large distribution.
“Cat Person” premieres on Hulu on February 9.
