As the Road House remake’s release date approaches, Prime Video has released the first thrilling trailer for the film, revealing more about the upcoming adaptation starring Jake Gyllenhaal.

Road House | Official Trailer

Fans could catch a sneak peek at some of the scenes filmed at UFC 285 in the trailer. The trailer shows Jake Gyllenhaal playing the role made iconic by Patrick Swayze.

Gyllenhaal plays Dalton, an ex-UFC fighter who works as a bouncer at a roadhouse within the Florida Keys. However, Dalton soon discovers that his seemingly ideal paradise has more than meets the eye.

The rest of the story centers around Dalton’s adventures. The trailer also shows McGregor’s character, who appears at the movie’s end. If the trailer is any indication, McGregor appears to be playing a rival since he is shown creating difficulties for Gyllenhaal’s character in the trailer.

As for the bigger picture, the Road House trailer shows that Magnussen’s villain is trying to take over and destroy Williams’ character’s bar to build a luxurious resort, a goal that Dalton is fighting to stop.

Fistfights form the majority of action in this remake, as they were in the 1989 original, but there are also some larger and more theatrical set pieces.
