With the next Aardman Animations production’s release date approaching, Netflix has released a new trailer for Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget. It’s been more than two decades since the first film hit theatres, but this crew of chickens is now ready for the biggest adventure of their life.
While escaping from a chicken farm was incredibly dangerous the first time, the main protagonists won’t know what to do when presented with a far more advanced facility, and this time, they’ll find themselves entangled in a rescue effort.

A new trailer for Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget has been released by Netflix. Rocky (Levi) and Ginger (Newton) enjoy the hatching of their daughter, Molly (Ramsey), amid the serenity of a chicken world.
When Molly gets taken by a Fun Land Farms truck, Rocky and Ginger are set on an adventure to reclaim their daughter.
The trailer suggests that Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget would follow the same story as the original while introducing extra characters. Rocky, Ginger, & the rest of the coop were forced to leave the property of their nasty, poultry-loving owners, Mr. and Mrs. Tweedy, in Chicken Run.
Now that Mrs. Tweedy has taken their child, Ginger, and Rocky must return to the dreadful farm from which they so heroically fled to face the terrifying “dawn of the nugget.”
As a result, Chicken Run 2 will tackle similar issues with a new story framework. “Last time we broke out of a chicken farm,” Ginger says in the trailer. We’re breaking in this time.” The apparent layout of Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget is the same.
Whereas Chicken Run is set in a prison, its sequel will be in a heist film. An exciting adventure awaits as Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget nears its December release date.

The original Chicken Run featured one of the best ensemble voice casts ever gathered in British animation. The film’s cast received widespread critical and audience appreciation from Mel Gibson & Timothy Spall to Phil Daniels and Julia Sawalha.
Sawalha and Gibson will not reprise their roles as Ginger and Rocky in the upcoming movie; instead, Thandiwe Newton and Zachary Levi will take on those roles.
Romesh Ranganathan will play Nick instead of Steve Carell, while Daniel Mays will play Fetcher in place of Daniels. In addition, David Bradley will replace the late Benjamin Whitrow as Fowler.
On the other hand, Imelda Staunton, Jane Horrocks, and Lynn Ferguson will all return to reprise their roles as Bunty, Babs, and Mac.
New cast members will also voice new characters in the film, including The Last of Us breakthrough actress Bella Ramsey as Molly, Ted Lasso‘s Nick Mohammed as Dr. Fry, and newbie Josie Sedgwick-Davies as Frizzle.
Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget’s release date is December 15, 2023.
