When Is the Upcoming Superhero Movie The Marvels Releasing?

Nia DaCosta has directed the upcoming American superhero movie The Marvels which is set to be released in 2023.

The film is intended to serve as the sequel of the 2019 movie Captain Marvel‘, the 33rd movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the continuation of the 2022 tv miniseries ‘Ms. Marvel‘.

The plot of the upcoming movie will find astronaut Monica Rambeau with the ability to manipulate light energy, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, and Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel teaming up to find out why their places are getting swapped every time they intend to use their powers.

When Is ‘The Marvels’ Releasing?

The official development of The Marvels started in January 2020. Primary filming began on May 31, 2021. The film is scheduled to be released on November 10, 2023, in the United States.

The role of Captain Marvel will be reprised by American actress Brie Larson in the movie. One of the Avengers- Carol Danvers who is also a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, is turned into a superhuman after his DNA was altered in an accident.

The upcoming movie will delve deeper into the character of Danvers. Academy Award winner American actress Brie Larson previously starred in a number of films too.

She won Academy Award and British Academy Film Awards for Best Actress for her role of Joy “Ma” Newsome in the 2015 drama movie ‘Room’.
