Tour de France Unchained Official Trailer Released.

With Tour de France: Unchained, Netflix continues its foray into the world of sports! The Tour de France is an important athletic event that takes place annually, and now cycling enthusiasts can get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the race through Netflix’s Tour de France: Unchained docuseries.

This is Netflix’s newest entry into sports, after successful docuseries such as Formula 1: Drive to Survive, Break Point, and Full Swing.

The goal is similar, with Unchained attempting to give an entry point for the casual or potential new cycling fan while simultaneously providing an intriguing, rarely-seen perspective to diehards already familiar with the featured teams and athletes.

Tom Pidcock is shown riding alone past crowds on Alpe D’Huez in the new trailer, released by the Tour de France and the competing teams.

Tom Pidcock won stage 12 of the race there last year. It then goes on to convey the idea of the Tour de France while using dramatic music and voiceovers. One guy says, “It’s the hardest race in the world.”

The one-minute trailer also features brief glimpses inside the team vehicles, such as cars and buses, footage taken while riding a bike, and management interviews.

The trailer features Groupama-FDJ Boss Marc Madiot urging his riders, “You are soldiers, you are warriors.” When you put on a jersey, you become someone else.”

Highlights include Pidcock’s ride, Thibaut Pinot’s troubles, the cobbled Arenberg stage, on-bike film, team management responses, and multiple high-travel crashes.

Eight teams, including AG2R Citroen, Alpecin-Deceuninck, Bora-Hansgrohe, EF Education-EasyPost, Groupama-FDJ, Ineos Grenadiers, Jumbo-Visma, and Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl, reportedly agreed to grant Netflix camera crews exclusive access for the series.

The English-language version’s official title has recently been announced as ‘Tour de France: Unchained.’

The aim of Tour de France: Unchained is to delve into all that goes into the race in a way few other shows have done before, hearing directly from Tour participants and spectacular behind-the-scenes clips.

Cycling fans can taste what’s to come in the 2023 Tour de France with the premiere of Tour de France: Unchained on June 8. The entire eight-episode docuseries will be accessible for binge-watching right away.
