The Last Thing He Told Me is a drama about Hannah that is based on a book by Laura Dave of the same name. The Last Thing He Told Me is an unconventional family story. The plot revolves around a father who has recently remarried and a daughter who has nothing but contempt for her overbearing stepmother.
As they strive to survive, their relationship appears irreparably broken, and the family dynamic remains unstable. The father, Owen, goes missing in the midst of their battle, upending the new family and their shared lives. In the tumultuous wake of Owen’s puzzling disappearance, his wife Hannah and her stepdaughter Bailey are brought together.
To discover the real cause of Owen’s disappearance, the two must grudgingly cooperate. Their initial destruction quickly gives way to uncertainty. Hannah and Bailey are left searching for solutions as more details about Owen’s excess come to light. It makes it fitting that the show is marketed as a miniseries, given how the novel concludes its plot.

Who’s Involved In The Last Thing He Told Me?
The novel The Last Thing He Told Me is now being adapted for television by the book’s original author, Dave, as well as Academy Award–winning screenwriter Josh Singer (Spotlight, The Post). The production is being produced by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine in collaboration with 20th Television.
Together with Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter, Jennifer Garner, Dave, and Bryan Singer serve as executive producers for the picture Hello Sunshine. The show is directed by Where the Crawdads Sing director Olivia Newman, who also serves as co-executive producer.

The initial photos give us a glimpse at Garner and Rice’s characters, who appear to be having some type of conversation inside a stadium that is empty. There’s also a picture of Garner standing by herself, looking perplexed after reading a mystery note that’s been scribbled on some yellow paper.
The two will need to gather all the information they can in order to determine why they were abandoned while avoiding the suspicious eyes of police authorities.
This show has an intriguing premise, and even though we don’t have a trailer for it yet, followers of shows who focus on suspense and conflict within families should definitely keep a lookout for it.
