David Yates, who is most renowned for directing the final four films of the Harry Potter series, has directed the upcoming conspiracy drama ‘Pain Hustlers’. The movie is based on Evan Hughes’ same named 2018 article that was published in New York Times Magazine and his novel that follows it in 2022- ‘The Hard Sell’.

The movie Pain Hustlers casts Emily Blunt in the role of Liza Drake who is a high school dropout and finds herself embroiled in a web of criminal conspiracy after landing a pharmaceutical start-up job in a withered strip mall. Chris Evans, Catherine O’Hara, and Andy GarcĂ­a have also been cast in unnamed roles. The movie will arrive on October 27, 2023, on Netflix.

The plot revolves around two con artists whom FBI agent Richie DiMaso forces to enact an elaborate and risky sting operation on some corrupt politicians including the mayor of Camden and New Jersey too. The names of these con artists are Irving Rosenfeld and Sydney Prosser aka Lady Edith. The unpredictable Rosalyn Rosenfeld who is the wife of Irving is also a significant character.
