The music video for ‘Pink Venom’ by Blackpink has crossed 500 million views. Blackpink is one of the most famous South Korean girl groups which consists of four members Jennie, Rosé, Jisoo, and Lisa. With the single album Square One, the group made its debut in August 2016.
BLACKPINK’s “Pink Venom” music video crossed the 500 million views threshold on January 7 at about 1:10 a.m. KST. The song ‘Pink Venom’ was released on August 19, 2022. It took only four months,18 days, and 12 hours to cross the views of the music video on YouTube. Through the lyrics of the song, Blackpink expresses their confidence and deadly charm.

The song “Pink Venom” became the first by a girl group to reach number one, peaking at number one on the Billboard Global 200 list for two weeks.
The song reached at number two on the Circle Digital List and topped Billboard’s South Korea Songs chart for two weeks in South Korea. It topped the charts in Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Vietnam, making it the first K-pop group’s single to do so on the ARIA Singles Chart in Australia.
The music peaked at number 22 on both the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart, and it also reached the top ten in Canada, Croatia, Hungary, Japan, and New Zealand. The song became the biggest 24-hour debut for a music video in 2022 after receiving 90.4 million views within 24 hours.
The song ‘Pink Venom’ was part of Blackpink’s second studio album ‘BORN PINK’ which was released in 2022. Born Pink was the first album by a K-pop girl group to debut at the top of the Billboard 200 and the UK Albums Chart.
The group has many accolades in their name which include the New Artist of the Year Award at the 31st Golden Disc Awards and the 26th Seoul Music Awards, the first MTV Music Video Award won by a Korean girl group, the MAMA Award for Best Female Group in 2020 and 2022 and recognition as the first female Korean group on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Asia. Blackpink was named Time’s Entertainer of the Year in 2022 for its contributions to music.
