Vikings: Valhalla – Season 2 Official Trailer Breakdown

The trailer starts with bounty hunters pursuing and murdering a few people deep in the woods. The attack is then revealed to be the consequence of someone placing a large reward on the heads of Harald Sigurdsson & Freydis Eriksdotter.

Next, a strange creature arrives, who sounds like a person but does not seem like one is telling why the bounty is put.

Later in the trailer, it is seen that Herald and Freydis split ways to have a shot at survival. After they split ways, each of their plans alters. Herald intends to usurp Norway’s crown, but he soon realizes that he is not alone in his ambition.

He is then given a challenging task that would help him keep his job. Meanwhile, Freydis settles in Jomsborg, where the locals warmly welcome her.

However, things become complicated when she is required to commit to a few things that may go against her ideals. She is also observed to be carrying a kid, which signals her possible marriage.

Freydis and Herald ultimately unite in the trailer’s last minutes, but their adversaries begin the war on them. A war between the two sides follows, and the victor may become the heir to the throne.

The cast of Vikings: Valhalla – Season 2

Vikings: Valhalla Season 2
Netflix

Vikings: Valhalla is the spin-off series to the great show Vikings. It was developed by Jeb Stuart, who previously authored short films such as Die Hard and The Fugitive.

Vikings: Valhalla also stars Bradley Freegard, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Laura Berlin, David Oakes, Pollyanna McIntosh, Soren Pilmark, Bradley James, Hayat Kamille, Marcin Dorocinski, and Sofya Lebedeva, in addition to Corlett, Gustavsson, and Suter.

While each character of the Valhalla cast has a real-world counterpart, it is difficult to predict where the actors will go in the future, given how far the show has already deviated from history. After all, unlike in the show, Leif Erikson was never engaged in the fall of London Bridge.

So, while it might be simple to look at history & figure out the destiny of Vikings: Valhalla, it is difficult to follow the same route. Instead, the characters may carry the plot on a path no one could have predicted.

The following season will begin on January 12 on Netflix. With season 3 being announced and Valhalla producers working on it, season 2 will likely end on a dramatic cliffhanger.

However, showrunner Jeb Stuart will remain with the program until season 3, ensuring that everything that makes Vikings: Valhalla great will continue in future seasons.
