Although some of Loona’s fans are boycotting the group’s upcoming album since the agency removed Chuu from the group for abuse of power towards a staff album.

According to rumors, the fans won’t stop their protests until the agency apologizes for prior mistreatment, the claims against Chuu are proven false, and the members of LOONA are given the option to terminate their contracts if they so want.

Some of the boycott’s goals include not buying anything made by BlockBerry Creative (for example albums, tickets, merchandise, events, or apps like FAB or Superstar LOONA that have ads and paywall features), refraining from streaming their content (including music videos and songs), and unfollowing them on all social media platforms.

The group made their debut with the extended play, “[+ +]” (read as plus plus) in 2018. The group had a total of twelve members at that time.

The first song by Loona to chart on the Billboard Mainstream Top 40, “Star,” peaked at number 40, making them the second K-pop female group to do so. The upcoming 6th EP titled “[0]” of the group will be released on January 3, 2023.
