Kim Kardashian adds private equity business to her portfolio

Kim Kardashian is expanding her professional horizons by becoming a strategic investor, and she is now looking for exciting new start-up companies to support her.

The TV personality, entrepreneur, and social media influencer has formed a private-equity business called SKKY Partners with Jay Sammons, a 16-year veteran of the global investment giant Carlyle.

Kris Jenner, who is Kardashian’s mother, will also work at the company as a partner in addition to her roles as co-founder and co-managing partner with Khloé Kardashian and Jeff Sammons.

According to an announcement made by the business, SKKY Partners intends to make investments in “growth-oriented, market-leading consumer and media companies” in both a controlling and minority capacity.

Consumer goods, digital technology, online commerce, consumer media and entertainment, hospitality, and luxury goods are some of the industries that it focuses on.

In 2019, Kardashian established Skims, a firm that specializes in undergarments and clothing, and has since raised a total of $240 million. The business has a current valuation of $3.2 billion. In addition to that, she has introduced a skincare brand called SKKN BY KIM.

The most recent position that Sammons had at Carlyle was that of global head of consumer, media, and retail. He will run the day-to-day operations of SKKY Partners, including finding new investment opportunities. Jenner, responsible for the growth of her family’s collection of companies worth billions of dollars, will also collaborate with SKKY to identify and explore investment possibilities.
