End of the Road Netflix Release Date, Cast, and Latest Info

Most people who have taken many family road trips may remember at least one instance when things didn’t go as planned. So many people, however, cannot claim to be away from home, witnessing a murder and then being pursued by the killer. But, unfortunately, that’s exactly what happens in Queen Latifah’s new film, End of the Road.

Netflix released the trailer for the Queen Latifah-starring family road trip movie End of the Road.

Brenda (Latifah), a widow who just lost her job and wants to transfer her family across the nation to start a new and better life, will be the main character of the thriller. But unfortunately, their path to a better life proves to be more complicated than they had anticipated because they end up in the sights of an unknown killer.

End Of The Road Teaser Explained

The two-minute teaser begins with a speedy car pursuit in the desert and images of a heartbroken Brenda before returning viewers to the events that led to her misery.

The four-member family (including Brenda’s brother, played by Ludacris) is seen driving down a lonely road bordered by hundreds of miles of desert. Their talks show that the drive has lasted three and a half hours and that their endpoint is Houston, a city that the family’s youngest member appears to know little about.

Brenda’s brother expresses his concerns about their decision to begin the adventure as the journey progresses; tragically, his fears are realized when they stop at a roadside hotel and witness the murder of an anonymous person.

What starts as a family attempting to do the right thing gets much more complex when Brenda’s brother picks up a bundle of cash belonging to the raging killer who looks to be out to reclaim what is rightfully his. Yet, despite the guilt of one of its own, the close-knit family will join together to protect each other from the murderer.

Not only does Latifah’s character in the film must do everything she can to live, but she also needs to find the strength to secure her family.

Unfortunately, the actress’s role in the new film will not be able to use the talents of Latifah’s Robyn McCall from the TV show The Equalizer.

End of the Road

While End of the Road is labeled as a thriller, Shelton claims she was able to establish “a new genre of cinema” with it, referring to it as a “family-based adventure road trip thriller.”

“Having that blend of action and family heart makes it special,” the filmmaker said. In addition to Queen Latifah and Ludacris, the cast of End of the Road includes Beau Bridges, Mychala Faith Lee, Shaun Dixon, and Frances Lee McCain.

End of the Road is rated R in the United States due to strong/bloody violence, violence, sexual content, and drug usage. The Netflix film will be aired on September 8th.

We all need a movie to get our hearts racing… Of course, it’s difficult to determine whether a film is excellent or awful, but the teaser for this Queen Latifah film appears promising.
