According to the new announcement by of makers that is Netflix, we won’t be getting any further seasons of Resident Evil. It was on 26 August 2022 when Netflix canceled the series for any further seasons. At first, it was said that we will be getting the renewal very soon but it all changed.
The reason behind the cancellation is not clear but according to some of the reports, Netflix decided to cancel it because of the ratings. It has got 5.9 ratings out of 10 which was not at all that good for any series to come back. It has also got mixed reviews from critics and fans.
What if we would have got Resident Evil? If we would have got Resident Evil Season 2 then there are a lot of chances that all the casts and characters would be returning. But since it is not a possibility for some years so we cannot think about it.
The series was dealing with the time of 2022 and 2036. It was related to the struggles of 14-year-old twins whose names are Billie and Jade. In 2036, a TV virus almost reduced human civilization. A lot of man-eating humans surrounded the whole planet and the story continues like this.
The casting and characters of Resident Evil Season 1 were great. And that is the reason why the expectation related to Resident Evil Season 2 was high. If we would get Resident Evil Season 2 in any coming years then fans want to see the same cast again.
