Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2 Star Gaten Matarazzo Reveals His Hopes for Show Final Season

Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2 Updates: Even though Gaten Matarazzo is on Stranger Things, he, like the rest of us, has theories about how the show should end. The actor, who plays Dustin, told E! News exclusively that he has high hopes for his character, especially when it comes to love.

Dustin’s former girlfriend Suzie (Gabriella Pizzolo) returned to help save the day in Season 4 Volume I, though she did not interact with Dustin. Gaten hopes that changes in season five, even if the couple has to get creative.

“All we can do is hope,” GatenĀ  Matarazzo said. “What we know, at least in retrospect, about living in the modern era of technology is that long-distance travel will only get easier starting in ’86. So who knows if things will improve, but let’s hope so.”

“I don’t think her parents would like him too much,” Gaten admits.

But hey, if anyone knows how to break down barriers, it’s Dustin Henderson. We have faith in Suzie.

Gaten also stated that he wants to delve deeper into the backstory of a character who made a big impression in the first episodes of season four.

“I’d like to see a lot more history in Dr. Owens (Paul Reiser),” he said. “I think that’s a fantastic idea.”

Dr. Owens first appeared as Will Byers’ (Noah Schnapp) doctor in season two. He played a minor role in season three before taking on a larger role in season four when he appeared to side with Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine) after tricking Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) into following him to a secret location where she was sedated.

The actor, who recently collaborated with Nintendo, is also interested in continuing Dustin and Mr. Wheeler’s subtle rivalry (Joe Chrest).

“I believe Dustin speaks like that to the majority of adults in his life, which is unusual for someone like Mr. Wheeler to encounter but keep them coming,” Gaten said. “If they want more scenes with me and Joe, I’m game.”

Whatever happens, Gaten knows what he’ll miss the most about the Stranger Things universe.
