Canadian TV Series ‘Murdoch Mysteries’ is based on the fictional Detective Murdoch created by Maureen Jennings. The setting of the plot is the year 1895, Toronto, and the series revolves around a genius detective who is ahead of his time-solving crimes mysteries. The name of this detective is William Murdoch. He is from the Toronto Constabulary.
Detective Murdoch introduces techniques in solving crimes that were utterly new at that time. These methods include fingerprint, surveillance, blood test, trace evidence, etc.
Yannick Bisson plays the role of the titular detective Murdoch. The first season of the series premiered on January 20, 2008. Season 15 aired on September 13, 2021.
