Matrix 4 Updates: Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, the rumored Morpheus actor, talked about working with Keanu Reeves on the upcoming sequel The Matrix 4.
Lana Wachowski will direct the fourth part of the Matrix trilogy, which will be released in December. The original Matrix trilogy is one of the most significant science-fiction franchises of all time. Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Jada Pinkett Smith return as Neo, Trinity, and Niobe, respectively, although the rest of the group is made up of newcomers.
Mateen is said to be portraying a younger version of Laurence Fishburne’s renowned role Morpheus, who in the original 1999 film welcomed Reeve’s Neo into the matrix. Mateen admits to being starstruck after seeing Reeves deliver his first line on set as Neo in a recent interview with THR. In addition, the actor discussed the innovative technologies used in the film by Wachowski.
The Wachowski sisters’ return to the cyberpunk universe of the original trilogy, although remaining cloaked in mystery, is probably one of the most widely awaited movies of 2021. The return of Reeves and Moss is enough to pique interest, but the new cast is equally intriguing and will likely serve as a gateway to the franchise for those unfamiliar with it.
The Matrix 4 will be released over two decades after the final film in the original trilogy, and it will serve as a nostalgia trip for longstanding fans of the franchise while also introducing a new generation to the high-tech universe.
