Dwayne The Rock Johnson Updates: In a recent interview with Screenrant, Dwayne Johnson talked about Wrestler Bret Hart, relating the story of how the Legendary wrestler impacted the life of a young Dwayne Johnson.
Dwayne Johnson is one of the most famous wrestlers and actors of today’s date. His immense success has only made the star more humble and on more than one occasion he has been heard remembering and giving credit to those who had helped him on his way to success.
Johnson was recently interviewed by Screenrant for his latest release Jungle Cruise. During the interview, Johnson noticed that his interviewer Joseph Deckelmeier was wearing a t-shirt that said “The Hitman” in bold. “The Hitman” is the nickname that Bret Hart was called by in the ring.
Before the end of the interview, Johnson pointed out the interviewer’s shirt to Emily Blunt, his co-star who also accompanied him in the interview. He went on to praise Bret Hart saying that when Johnson was starting out in wrestling, Hart was good to him when he didn’t necessarily have to be. He added that Hart was a World Champion at that time, he was good to Johnson during a time when many in the wrestling world weren’t keen on embracing a rookie.

Johnson continued, explaining that WWF was extremely competitive at that time and there was a lot to go through for a young Johnson. During that time Hart was kind to him and he was the one who showed Johnson how to wade through the sharks and make his way in the wrestling world.
Blunt asked Johnson why Hart was so kind to him, to which he replied that it probably came from their shared family investment in wrestling. He said that both their families knew each other and both the families were pro-wrestling. Hart saw Johnson’s love and respect for the sport and probably felt a connection. Johnson said that Hart helped him because above all he was a great guy.
Both Hart and Dwayne The Rock Johnson come from a pro-wrestling lineage. Johnson is a member of the Anoa’i family which includes his grandfather Peter Maivia, The Wild Samoans, Rikishi, Yokozuna, and other WWE wrestling champions. Hart was the son of Stu Hart. He has 11 siblings who are either wrestlers or are married to wrestlers.
