Thor: Love and Thunder Updates: Jane Foster’s appearance as Mighty Thor is shown for the first time. Following the launch of Thor: Ragnarok, the project will reunite Taika Waititi with Chris Hemsworth. The project was launched at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 and will be the MCU’s first and only fourth standalone feature.
Thor: Love and Thunder will not only be another excursion for Chris Hemsworth’s Asgardian prince, but it will also see Natalie Portman reprise her appearance as Jane in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Rather than only being Thor’s major romantic interest, the actor will also take on the heroic persona of Mighty Thor.

Marvel Studios looks to be largely adhering to the look of Mighty Thor in the books, based on the shirt. At this time, it’s unclear whether this means they’ll pay careful attention to her storyline from Jason Aaron’s famous Mighty Thor run from 2015 to 2018.

However, at least when it comes to Jane’s storyline, the print narrative has been acknowledged as a significant source of inspiration for the film. When the original Thor felt unworthy, Jane raised the Mjölnir and gained all of Thor’s heroic capabilities.
Jane’s illness deteriorated every time she transitioned into Mighty Thor since the hammer cleansed her body of all poisons, even radiation from treatment. Portman has stated that her character’s cancer narrative from the comics will be included in Thor: Love and Thunder, although she did not elaborate on how.
The Waititi-directed film has finished filming and is now in post-production, allowing the filmmaker plenty of time to complete his edit before the feature hits theatres in May. As a result, the first promo for Thor: Love and Thunder are expected to be released sooner rather than later.
Marvel Studios is already cranking up advertising for its big-screen products at this time, indicating that they will likely adhere to their existing release schedule. It’s unclear if Jane’s Mighty Thor appearance will be seen in the promos or whether it will be kept for the film itself.
