American Gods Season 3: Mr. Wednesday’s War Changes View

American Gods Season 3 Updates: As American Gods Season 3 closes to its end, Mr. Wednesday considers how he proceeds with this war.

Throughout the dynasty of American Gods, Mr.  Wednesday has been looking up for a war. As the New Gods gain prominence in America, the Old Gods lose relevance and also their powers shortens.

Wednesday looks at the New Gods as a threat to himself, the Old Gods, and also humanity, so he is also taken it upon himself, the latest episode of season 3. “The Lake Effect”, unleashes Wednesday has had a surprising change of heart.

In the latest episodes of American Gods, Wednesday has been dealt with few major blows. His former wife, Demeter, has abandoned him, likely due to his obsession with war. Many of these mortal followers has been murdered, and the person behind them happens to be one of Wednesday’s oldest allies, Tyr. The disloyalty led to Wednesday killing his former friend, so when Episode 9 kicks off, it’s unsurprising that he has revaluated how he approaches this war.

American Gods Season 3: Who is the Leader New God’s Leader?

Although, it is quite surprising that he could consider discussing peace at all with the New God’s leader, Mr. World. It is not like Wednesday, a war god, to turn down the war, especially given his history. Regardless, Wednesday and Cordelia settled on this new route for the All-father, heading off to Czernobog’s to explain the sketch.

Czernobog has been an ally of Wednesday’s from Season 1, and he is always been one of the more violent gods. Even after Zorya’s death, still he agrees to fight beside Wednesday and the Gods, so the notion of peace deeply angers him.

He even tries to remind Wednesday that there will never be peace with the New Gods, & if they give up, then the Old Gods will also be forgotten. However, Wednesday is oddly hopeful, remarking that there would be few devoted followers who would be continuing to tell their stories.

This is not at all enough to reassure Czernobog, who says that they require to also protect those who do believe in them, so giving up would hurt the Old Gods and also their followers.

While Czernobog disagrees very deeply with peace, he eventually agrees to be Wednesday’s 2nd during the peace talks. At the meeting, Wednesday gets to the point, proposing that war destroys both parties, demeaning godhood as a whole, but Mr. World robs the peace talks.

The New God then proposes that the Old Gods can either “peacefully” disappear on their own conditions or they can be hunted down, so at an end of the day, the Old Gods will no longer exist no matter what.

This fires Czernobog, and he offers to fight this war with or without the Allfather. He would also do what Wednesday planned, bringing in the other Old Gods to fight by his side.

While this could turn gets Wednesday to stop the peace talks, he sits back about what his next move will be follower, regardless of what he was thinking, Laura Moon, reaches the spot and fulfills her destiny, impaling Wednesday with Gungnir.

The New Gods make up a deal worth Laura to have her kill Wednesday on their behalf so the Old Gods would not doubt them. This, along with the New Gods plan to eradicate every Old God, does not bode well for Wednesday’s former allies, especially with war appearing to be inevitable.
