Outlander Season 6 Update: The sixth season of the Starz series could be set to follow Diana Gabaldon’s novel An Echo in Bone and Written In My Heart’s Own Blood.
The fifth season has featured events in A Breath of Snow and Ashes including the death of Stephen Bonnet (played by Ed Speelers) and the kidnapping of Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) and it seems the next series could do the same as it combines storytelling issues.
Actor Sam Heughan, best known for his role as Jamie Fraser, had hinted that there might be parts of the seventh book, An Echo in Bone included in the new series.

Asked if season six would draw on the seventh novel, Jamie joked: In fact, if I could tell you – I don’t know because I haven’t seen all the books yet – I would say because we have so much history and time and all that, we can draw from any book. Add to Parade: So it may be not only the seventh book but also other books we remove from it.
This means fans could see Jamie’s death at the end of the sixth season.
Claire is worried as she is given some sad news before she is arrested for being a spy. Wanting to protect her, Lord John Gray (David Berry) enters and insists on her marriage to keep the Fraser family safe. as she well knows King John, she is Jamie’s friend and believes she had lost her husband permanently.
It will be a very exciting season when things come to Ridge that will challenge Claire Fraser’s medical knowledge.
