The announcement for the movie was made in July 2022, and details about the cast were disclosed in September. Filming began on February 26, 2024, at Trilith Studios and Atlanta Metro Studios, and it’s expected to conclude in July. The filming schedule was extended due to a delay caused by the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.

Marvel Studios revealed the cast, which includes Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the main characters in Marvel’s First Family.

Matt Shakman will be the director, taking over from Jon Watts, who worked on Spider-Man: No Way Home. Unlike many superhero movies, The Fantastic Four won’t spend time telling the origin story of the new Marvel heroes.
