Griselda is the latest Netflix narco-drama featuring Sofia Vergara as the title character. The streaming giant recently released the first trailer for the series.
This first look at Vergara’s portrayal of Griselda Blanco follows the Godmother of Miami as she rises through the levels of the cartel to the top. Griselda develops the success of the eponymous character’s cocaine empire in Miami, Florida, kicking off with violence.

The latest trailer features one of the series’ greatest guest stars, giving viewers an early look at Karol G’s character in the next series. The Colombian singer has four Latin Grammy Awards and two Grammy nominations, and she’s excited to broaden her scope of acting with a role in Griselda.
The creators of blockbusters like “Bichota” and “Location” will be at the heart of the Godmother’s complex story, setting the scene for a local fight for control of the territory. Nobody will prevent the consequences of large-scale drug sales.
The trailer starts in a courtroom, where a prosecution team explains Blanco’s operation. “For three years, Griselda Blanco owned Miami, selling cocaine,” one of the lawyers said. He says, “Mrs. Blanco’s operation has been productive, ruthless, and incredibly successful.”
Following the trial scenario, The trailer takes viewers back to 1978. It shows the extremes Griselda would go to, from hitting a man’s leg with a bat to organizing larger-scale crime, all to establish her drug empire.
Griselda is a new limited series about a woman who founded one of history’s most wealthy drug criminal networks.
The drama, based on the rise and fall of Griselda Blanco, will be described in six episodes full of tension, action, and unexpected twists and turns.
The world wasn’t prepared for Blanco’s capacity to manage a drug-trafficking network so big that it drew the attention of the rivals surrounding her. When her realm became too large, many people in town needed to collapse it.
