Society of the Snow True Story Revealed In Official Trailer.

The Fight to Survive in Harrowing True Story Revealed in New’ Society of the Snow’ Trailer. With his upcoming survival thriller Society of the Snow, award-winning filmmaker J. A. Bayona makes a long-awaited comeback to the Spanish-language filmmaking scene.

Based on Pablo Vierci’s nonfiction work, the film is a description of the 1972 Andes aircraft tragedy, in which a bunch of surviving Uruguayan rugby players endured 72 days of terrible pain, severe starvation, and fatal mountainous weather.

Society of the Snow | Official Trailer

While the first trailer highlighted the relationships formed among the rugby players before the shocking plane crash, this one provides a broader picture of the story and the heinous situation that the Chilean survivors had to face in the middle of nowhere in a bitterly cold environment.

It’s always disturbing to realize, but it’s important to emphasize that the story is based on terrible actual events.

The latest trailer for J.A. Bayona’s Society of the Snow is out, offering an in-depth look at Bayona’s take on one of the most tragic aviation disasters and survival stories of all time, the 1972 crash of Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, which was carrying a rugby team.

Out of the 45 passengers in the Andes plane crash, only 29 survived. Those who made it to the ground alive faced new challenges as the harsh high Andean climate drove them to their limits and compelled them to make terrible survival decisions.

The new trailer makes it evident that Society of the Snow will not shy away from depicting the group’s truly traumatic experience, from the plane crash itself to doing everything they can to stay alive – including eating the body parts of people who didn’t survive the crash.
