On the run from a brutal Gestapo officer, the duo meets a reclusive relative and Walter, who, although being conscripted by Hitler’s dictatorship, has a secret link to Marie-Laure.

The gripping trailer portrays a cat-and-mouse pursuit, with Hoffman’s Walter tasked with tracking down Marie-Laure and stopping her rebellious radio broadcasts, even though he appears to have conflicting emotions.

Alum (dark) Louis Hoffman plays Werner, an intelligent teenager hired by the German army to seek out illegal messages using radio technology.

Daniel LeBlanc, a locksmith at the Museum of Natural History in Paris, is set to be played by Mark Ruffalo.

Hugh Laurie plays Etienne LeBlanc, Marie-Lauree’s uncle and a WWI hero with PTSD. Lars Eidinger, who portrays Sergeant Major Reinhold von Rumpel, a vicious and terminally sick Nazi commander on the hunt for a diamond said to grant never-ending life is also a key role.
