The teaser for Netflix‘s ‘Doona!’ suggests a sweet relationship between a former K-pop idol and a college student.
Doona! is an official adaptation of the webtoon The Girl Downstairs, which revolves around an average university student called Won-jun who ends up staying in a shared house with a previous K-pop idol, Doo-na, much to his surprise. Despite their differences growing up, a natural attachment develops between them.

Doona and Won-jun are walking along in the trailer when she tells him, “I won’t fall for you.” I’ll never slip for you.” It then flashes back to their lives, with her adding, “You once said to me that you and I are from distinct universes,” to which Won Jun appears to respond, “And we’re sitting side by side at a similar station, purely by chance.”
Doona finds unexpected comfort in Won Jun, influenced by her presence in his college life, when she attends his lecture and proposes they have lunch together. “I can’t help but want more,” Won Jun realizes.
As Doona and Won Jun’s romantic relationship develops, he admits, “I’m the one who wants you to be mine so badly, it’s driving me insane.”The teaser concludes with the question, “What is Lee Doona likes as a pop idol?”
The creators also unveiled a new poster showing Doona and Won Jun blurring the line between simply living together and forging a more profound friendship after spending their days together.
Won Jun feels a range of feelings as Doona gets closer to him with her eyes closed, from the thrill of his pulse beating to the doubt of Doona’s true intentions.
With a radically different background soundtrack from what viewers may have heard in other K-dramas, it engages them in the characters’ emotions.
This adorable and peaceful trailer focuses on beautiful moments as Won-jun and Doo-na get closer to one another. However, we all know that no K-drama romance is ever perfect.

The Cast and Characters of Doona!
Suzy will work alongside Yang Se Jong, who you may recall from blockbuster dramas like Thirty But Seventeen and his appearance on Dr. Romantic.
Lee Yu Bi, who is now causing us to worry in her role as Han Mone in The Escape of the Seven: War for Survival, will also be a part of the production. Fans also look forward to seeing Park Se Wan and Lee Jin Wook.
Doona Season 1 will be released on Friday, October 20th at 8 a.m. (GMT) / 3 a.m. (ET). Season 1 will consist of nine episodes. Expect them all to be released simultaneously, each episode lasting roughly 60-63 minutes.
