One of its unique selling points is that each season outranks the last and by the time Season 2 arrived, the series managed to beat the immensely popular horror series, Stranger Things – the numbers stand proud at earnings of about 2.6 billion viewed minutes in its first three days of streaming alone!
What’s In It For Viewers?
The series centers on Mel Monroe, portrayed by actress Alexandra Breckenridge who is a nurse living in the quiet town of Virgin River, after moving from the bustling city of LA. The eeriness of the town thanks to its trail of personal tragedies leaves a chill down our spine.
However, for Monroe things turn better as she builds close communication bonds with a local pillar of the community who deals with his own share of personal challenges.
The tale centers on romance and drama and this is the perfect combination – and while some of you are not completely finished with S5, we have a few intel about the sixth season!

What to Expect from the Virgin River Season 6?
First and foremost, we don’t have an official release date. But it is confirmed news that the sixth season is well on its way and will be hitting Netflix screens sooner before you can say ‘Virgin River’!
In terms of what to expect and characters – we know that there have been no official casting details on the market yet. However, we can certainly expect the two protagonists, Alexandra and Martin!
Would Virgin River even be the same without these two? We didn’t think so, either!
However we can expect to see the returning casts for The Virgin River Season 6; Dr. Vernon ‘Doc’ Mullins, Hope McCrea, John Middleton, Dan Brady, Joey Barnes and so many more!
We’re not sharing the spoilers of the fifth season for those who haven’t watched it yet, but we can say that there’s an awful lot about romance.
This pans out beautifully in the 6th season making it a pretty swoon-worthy season for the hopeless drama-romantics in us!
