KJ Apa Did Not Like Going Shirtless on Riverdale!

The Riverdale actor KJ Apa, who played Archie Andrews, confessed he wasn’t a massive fan of the show’s shirtless scenes and felt awkward during filming season 7.

The teenage drama Riverdale ends after starting as a live-action Archie Comics adaptation, quickly evolving into a genre-hopping, time-traveling experiment in narrative television.

Since 2017, the 26-year-old actor has portrayed Archie Andrews on the TV show, and he acknowledged that he frequently felt uneasy when filming naked sequences.

Riverdale included plenty of s*x, violence, a self-referential sense of humor, and n*de moments from series star KJ Apa while stealing from wholesome sources. KJ Apa felt uncomfortable with his “Riverdale” character being s*xualized.

The Riverdale cast is starting to talk openly about their experiences working on the show as the series’ last episode approaches. There have been several sequences over the seasons of sweaty, shirtless Archie and Reggie and Betty, Veronica, and Cheryl wearing knickers.

Almost every teen character had a telling moment on TV at some point or another. Additionally, the program has come under fire for s*xualizing its characters, especially when they were teenagers in the first few seasons. On the other hand, the cast has defended the program against claims that it depicted “unrealistic” bodies.
