However, the official announcement did not come but it seems like Britney Spears is definitely hinting towards it. The news was never confirmed by the couple however she recently shared a very cryptic message on social media.

Britney Spears Opened For The First Time After Divorce Rumors With Sam Asghari!
According to this message, it appears that she is definitely ready to end her marriage. It was her husband Sam who decided to file for divorce after 14 months of marriage.
When the news came on 16 August 2023, Britney Spears shared and said that sometimes one can see more things with eyes closed as compared to eyes open. She continued her thought and shared a few more words on social media while writing:
It was in 2016, they met for the first time. And then they fell for each other. They were their most important supporter during the conservative transition of the singer which ended back in November 2021.
The pair got married on June 9, 2022, and then celebrated their first anniversary in a very private ceremony.
They were both photographed without their wedding rings on many occasions, which created divorce rumors multiple times. But all these things were never confirmed until 16 August 2023.
