Transatlantic is based on the historical tale of Varian Fry, a reporter who lands in France in 1940 and rapidly establishes the Emergency Rescue Committee, which is committed to assisting writers and artists who are fleeing Nazi persecution and immigrating to the United States.

Netflix officially announced in February 2023 that Transatlantic season 1 will release on Friday, April 7, 2023, and will have a whole of 7 episodes this season.
In early 2022, production began on location in Marseille. The show is also produced in English, German, and French.

What is going to be the Plot of the Transatlantic?
The forthcoming drama series is inspired by true events concerning the Emergency Rescue Team, who risked their lives to save a number of people.
It is based on Julie Orringer’s novel Varian Fry, a story about a man who arrives in Marseilles with a considerable quantity of money. He additionally maintained a list of other artists whose preservation he intended to help.
