Dungeons 3 is based on the original Dungeon Keeper, in which you play the part of an evil master planning to enslave humanity from his lair. This involves, among other things, creating chambers, such as a chicken hatchery so your evil minions may feed and training rooms so your minions can develop.
Dungeons 3 Visuals
Dungeons 3’s visuals are stunning, from the overworld scenery to the bottom world’s dungeons. The world and character design are both spectacular. Everything has a cartoony feel to it that radiates charm.
This might be my nostalgia for the Dungeon Keeper series, from the characters to the monsters, but the creative design here needs to be acknowledged anyway.
Plot
The plot of Dungeons 3 is straightforward. You have authority over Thalya because she is possessed by an evil spirit and likes being wicked so much that she agrees to assist you in gaining control of the overworld.
The game does an excellent job here since even if you’ve never played the series before (which I haven’t), you don’t need to know the ins and outs because much of it is taught at the start. The narrative is excellent, delightful, and cringe all at the same time.

Gameplay
The core gameplay loop is to create your dungeon as defensively sound as possible and traps to prevent heroes from attacking your dungeon’s heart. You may choose from a range of troops, ranging from an ogre who will unleash a flurry of hits in an attempt to knock down every person to a mage who will sit back and cast spells.
There will also be moments when people come across your entrance and launch attacks with five or six guards.
Here is where you must be strategic; you may have a large army that allows you to assault the overworld while still having soldiers behind to protect you from attacks. This would cost you a lot of wealth each payday, or you might have a tiny army, which is less expensive but often leaves you vulnerable to attacks.
Game’s narrative
The game is voiced by Kevan Brighting (who also narrated The Stanley Parable), who plays an essential role in the game’s enjoyment. From his amusing one-liners to the numerous times he breaks the fourth wall. This game’s narrative is excellent.
Final commentsÂ
All of this is supported by the fact that this is a superbly executed console port. There was not a single moment throughout my game when I felt restricted in some manner by the controller. Instead, it seems fluid and natural, as if it were designed exclusively for consoles.
Dungeons 3 – Complete Collection for Xbox One is undoubtedly one of the top RTS games available on the Xbox One. It’s a terrific blend of numerous subgenres packaged in an amusing and delightful package jam-packed with the material. I haven’t had so much excitement being so bad in a long time.
