Steam Deck 2: Expected Price
Steam Deck 2 may cost more, given that Gabe Newell previously referred to hitting the $399 / £349 MSRP of Steam Deck’s base model as “painful.”
This is especially true given how expensive the raw materials required to make PC components are.
This is a device that Valve has given a lot of thought to. Even without the anti-glare, matte finish of the 512GB model, it is still gorgeous to look at, with a crisp plastic shell and a fantastic-looking screen.

The Steam Deck’s battery life has not been particularly impressive, with a 40 Wh Lithium-ion battery lasting only about two hours when everything is operating at full capacity.
By switching to OLED from LCD, Valve will be spared the hassle of adding a massive battery to a device already quite heavy in the hands. OLED will also increase battery life.
