OnePlus 9 Pro: Price, Specifications, Launch Date, and much more

When it comes to the OnePlus 9 Pro, know that while it isn’t the fastest phone in the lineup, it still has great specifications and a price that makes it a solid option for anyone purchasing on a budget.

The OnePlus 9 Pro was launched on March 23, 2021, in a company-sponsored virtual event, and preorders began immediately following the event’s conclusion.

In India, the OnePlus 9 Pro costs 49,999 rupees. However, on July 19, 2022, Amazon had the lowest price for the OnePlus 9 Pro at 49,999.

The OnePlus 9 Pro isn’t a significant shift from the company’s previous offerings, and if you’ve owned a phone since the OnePlus 7, you won’t be shocked by the design here.

The OnePlus 9 Pro has a stunning, eye-catching design. That’s not surprising coming from OnePlus, which has always produced one-of-a-kind devices. This company knows how to make visually stunning devices, from the sandstone on the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2 to the red OnePlus 6.

Display

The OnePlus 9 Pro’s display looks fantastic. It has vibrant colors, deep blacks, and a smart 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.

Consider the Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus. With a Delta-E of 0.18, that device managed 103.8 percent of the sRGB space and 73.5 percent of the DCI-P3 space in its natural mode.

With a 0.24 Delta-E rating, the iPhone 12 Pro reproduced 115.6 percent of the sRGB color gamut and 81.9 percent of the more demanding DCI-P3 color space, but not as accurate as the OnePlus 9 Pro.

The display on the OnePlus 9 Pro is more appealing to me than the displays on the Galaxy S21 Plus and iPhone 12 Pro. It may not be as bright, with an average brightness of 722 nits, but it performs admirably outdoors.

Cameras

Gadgets to Use

OnePlus has invested heavily in improving its mobile photography for 2021. The collaboration with Hasselblad demonstrates this. Both companies initially focused on producing natural color tones, similar to those found on Pixel or iPhone devices, rather than the oversaturated look of a Galaxy device.

The camera system is excellent, but it can’t compete with the quality of an iPhone 12 Pro Max or a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, both of which are more expensive than the 9 Pro. It handles a wide range of conditions admirably, but sometimes I needed to take an extra beat to compose my shot.

Nevertheless, it allowed me to judge better what the viewfinder was showing and, more importantly, gave me time to try the shot again.

Battery Life

The 9 Pro’s battery life doesn’t blow you away, but it’ll get you through a full day of everyday use on a single charge. Only once or twice during our testing period did we need to charge the 9 Pro after 10 p.m.

We discovered that the phone wouldn’t last a full day with heavy use, but there’s some impressive fast-charging tech here to help you top up your handset quickly when needed.
